Composer and multi-instrumentalist Robert Cairns’ eclectic body of work ranges from lengthy feature film and multi-season episodic television scores to short, impactful main titles, commercials and brand identities. Equally comfortable working in genres from contemporary and classical orchestral to indie rock, Rob’s knowledge, skill and highly collaborative process has made him a highly valued creative partner on projects including fan favorites [Netflix’s Love, Death and Robots, Star Wars:KOTOR, Elder Scrolls Online, Halo Wars II cinematic shorts, TNT’s DALLAS and ABC’s wildly-successful The Bachelor franchise] as well as the critically acclaimed [Oscar-nominated animated short Gopher Broke, Emmy-winning series “Extreme Makeover:Home Edition“, and the Ovation Award-winning and LATCC-nominated musical Bad Apples].
As a producer and arranger, Rob’s album work has been featured in Stephen Soderberg’s Magic Mike, the Eva Mendes-starring Girl In Progress, Bravo’s Girlfriend’s Guide To Divorce, ABC’s Suburgatory, and CW’s Ringer. Rob produced and arranged an updated cover of the classic “Bang Bang (my baby shot me down)” for the Titanfall II cinematic trailer as well as creating a multi-genre mashup of Norman Greenbaum’s “Spirit In The Sky” for the Lawbreakers cinematic trailer.
Rob recently composed the score to the feature film The Forger starring John Travolta and Christopher Plummer, as well as co-composed Dayyan Eng’s Chinese comedy Wished. Rob has also recently scored the hilarious and irreverent web series Bitter Homes and Gardens, and composed the main title for Stitchers.
